Performance Opportunities

Calling dancers, musicians, mimes, jugglers, puppeteers, poets, performance artists and more!

We have a wonderful variety of performance spaces reserved for the 2008 Norway Summer Arts Festival along the historic Main Street of Norway including: The lawn at the Norway Memorial Library, the Library’s Green Corner, Witherill Park, The Town Square, Butter’s Park, the Municipal Parking Lot behind Fare Share Market and the Grassroots Lot.

The Norway Summer Arts Festival coordinator will be scheduling performances on Saturday, July 12th, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are many opportunities for performers to share their artistic expressions to a broad audience of festival goers. Over 4,000 people attended last year’s festival providing a rich opportunity for artisans to showcase their work. With the increased recognition and momentum of this fabulous event, we are expecting visitor numbers to increase substantially.

Performance Criteria:

All performers and artisans must agree to donate their time and energy to the Norway Summer Arts Festival. This is a non-profit venue so there is no monetary exchange for performances. This is an opportunity to network and offer your art to a broad community.

Performers must be willing to work with the coordinator to ensure that their performance does not disturb or interrupt showcasing artists. You must be available and willing to set up your performance prior to show time, and adhere to performance time and location. There will be volunteers available to help with any extenuating needs the main day of the festival July 12, 2008.
