Created by and for the community, the 2012 Norway Arts Festival will feature a street dance, more than 100 fine artists at the 45th Annual Norway Sidewalk Art Show and myriad events and performances held along Norway's historic Main Street.
The festival begins in the evening on Thursday, July 12th, with a celebration of OH Poets X. Friday night, July 13th will be our Annual Street Dance featuring Tricky Britches, a high-energy bluegrass band which has been gaining ground in the area with performances at the Celebration Barn, the Oddfellows Theater and Tucker's Pub. There will be a BBQ from Café Nomad available for purchase. Those events will be followed on Saturday, July 14th with the Norway Triathlon, the 45th Annual Norway Sidewalk Art Show, and the annual Library Used Book Sale, along with musicians, dancers, and children's activities. The Norway Arts Festival is co-sponsored by Norway Downtown and Western Maine Art Group.
The Main Street of Norway will again be closed for the 2012 Norway Arts Festival to allow for a pedestrian mall from 258 Main Street to 450 Main Street.
